Machado Gets Good Value from Nizzato; Lie Makes a Big Call
Hugo Machado opened to 24,000 from the cutoff and called when Frederico Nizzato made it 75,000 from the button.
Machado check-called for 35,000 on the A♥4♥3♥ flop before the 6♠ turn checked through to the A♣ river. Machado led out for 160,000 and was quickly called. Machado tabled A♦10♦ for trip aces, and pipped Nizzato to the pot, who had A♠9♣.
That left Nizzato with around 400,000 and a few hands later, he was eliminated.
While the initial hand betwen Machado and Nizzato played out, a pot of around 800,000 had brewed between Aylar Lie and Justin Liberto. The board read 7♥3♠6♦Q♣3♣, and Lie, whho had around 450,000, checked from the big blind. Liberto fired out 360,000. Lie sent a couple of time banks to the dealer, before finding a call.
Liberto showed a busted draw with A♣5♠, and Lie had queens and sevens with A♠7♠ to take the pot.
