Lin Left Short; Kabrhel Tries New Material
Level 25
: Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Ren Lin opened to 1,000,000 in the hijack and Alexander Tkatschew called in the big blind.
Tkatschew checked on the flop of 6♠Q♠8♦, and Lin continued for 475,000. Tkatschew called. Both players then checked on the 4♦ turn and J♠ river as Tkatschew showed 9♦8♠ to win the pot with a pair of eights.
Across the room, Martin Kabrhel, lurching around the feature table area like a lanky shark with legs, could be heard crowd-testing a new catchphrase, singing, "This guy is on fiiiiiiiiiireeeeeeeeee."
