Boivin Check-Raises in Four-Bet Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Pascal Lefrancois opened to 55,000 from early position and Thomas Boivin three-bet to 145,000 from a few seats over. Alexander Zubov then four-bet to 310,000 in the hijack and only Boivin called.

Boivin checked on the flop of A94 and Zubov continued for 75,000. Boivin check-raised to 180,000 and Zubov laid it down.

Peter Chien opened to 40,000 in the cutoff and Tom Vogelsang three-bet to 160,000 in the small blind. Chien four-bet to 350,000 and Vogelsang came over the top with a five-bet jam.

Chien folded to hang onto his remaining stack of around 800,000.

Grax Survives

Sebastien Grax moved his last 10,000 into the middle in early position, and Iuri Ribeiro raised to 40,000 on his left. Sergio Aido then moved all in from the small blind, and Ribeiro got out of the way.

Grax was the only one to connect with the 256K3 board, making two pair to survive while Aido claimed the small side pot.

Ruslan Khadartsev opened to 40,000 in the cutoff, finding a call from Stephen Chidwick in the big blind. Chidwick saw the 327 flop and checked.

Khadartsev continued with a bet of 35,000, only to see Chidwick check-raise to 90,000. Khadartsev called, and the 6 turn led to Chidwick firing again for 70,000.

Another call from Khadartsev brought the 7 river, where Chidwick slowed down with a check. Khadartsev used a time bank card before sliding out a bet of 295,000, enough to put his opponent all in.

Chidwick used his own time bank card before letting his hand go, and Khadartsev took down the pot.

Hrabec on the Rise

Juan Pardo checked the 36JQ turn from the big blind, and Roman Hrabec fired a bet of 90,000 in early position. Anthony Bavaud and Nacho Barbero got out of the way, and Pardo made the call.

Another check from Pardo followed the 7 river, and Hrabec sized up to 300,000. After taking some time, Pardo stuck in the call.

Hrabec tabled AK for a flopped flush, claiming the pot as Pardo mucked.
