Value for Fortin-Demers; Brindise Busts
Level 5
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Alex Fortin-Demers opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and called when Sirzat Hissou made it 20,000 from the button.
Fortin-Demers check-called for 15,000 on the K♦8♥2♥ before the 5♠ turn checked through to the 2♣ river. Fortin-Demers led out for 15,000 and was called. He tabled A♦8♦ for eights and deuces, which prompted Hissou to muck.
Meanwhile, on a neighboring table, Pedro Padilha eliminated William Brindise. Padilha held AxQx for top pair, top kicker, which was enough to beat Brindise’s Kx10x for a pair of tens.
