Hellmuth's Exit Sets Up Soft Bubble
Level 18
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Felipe Boianovsky was eliminated, meaning three more eliminations were needed for the bubble to burst.
On another table, Phil Hellmuth moved all in for for 580,000 from the button. David Chen called from the small blind after some thought, and the cards were tabled once the big blind folded.
Phil Hellmuth: Q♦J♣
David Chen: A♦10♦
Hellmuth was behind, but both his cards were live.
The 9♣6♠5♦ flop offered Hellmuth very little, as did the 2♥ turn. Hellmuth's hopes of an eighteenth bracelet were crushed after the board completed with the 8♦ river.
After a quick fist bump with Chen, Hellmuth exited the table.
