Yong Doesn't Believe Jaffe

Level 16 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Richard Yong
Richard Yong

Sergio Aido raised to 55,000 from the cutoff, and Jonathan Jaffe on the button made the call. Then Richard Yong in the small blind put in a three-bet to 185,000, which got the big blind and Aido out, but Jaffe made the call.

The flop came AJ2 and Jaffe called a bet of 100,000 from Yong.

After the J on the turn, Yong check-called a bet of 140,000 from Jaffe.

The river was the 4 and Yong checked once more, before Jaffe moved all in for Yong's stack of 645,000. Yong eventually made the call and tabled QQ, but saw the bad news after Jaffe flopped a flush with 54 to take the pot and eliminate Young.

Chidwick Can't Get There

Level 16 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kayhan Mokri rasied to 60,000 from the cutoff, and when it folded to Stephen Chidwick in the big blind, he three-bet all in for 260,000, and Mokri made the call to put Chidwick at risk.

Stephen Chidwick: A6 All in
Kayhan Mokri: 44

It was a flip, but Chidwick would need to improve to stay in the tournament. Unfortunately, the board ran out 2789K and the pocket fours of Mokri were still best, eliminating Chidwick.

Philip Sternheimer

Action folded to Philip Sternheimer on the button and he rasied to 50,000, before Danny Tang three-bet all in for his stack of 595,000 in the small blind. The big blind folded and Sternheimer called for his stack of 525,000, putting himself at risk.

Philip Sternheimer: AK All in
Danny Tang: 44

It was a flip with Tang in front, and the 10Q6 flop gave Sternheimer extra outs in the form of a Broadway straight draw. But the K on the turn put Sternheimer in the lead, before the J on the river brought in the Broadway draw, securing Sternheimer the double up, and leaving Tang on fumes.

Shortly after the hand Tang was eliminated.
