Liz Lieu Back in the Race

After taking a series of hits over the last two hours, Liz Lieu took a pocket pair of Jacks up against not one but two raisers and two overcards. The bluffs went away on the river and Liz is back over 50K.

John Juanda Eliminated

A player opens from the cutoff for 2,000, and John Juanda re-raises from the small blind to 7,000. The player calls the raise, and the flop comes {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}. Juanda leads at the pot for 9,200. His opponent comes over the top with a raise to 35,000. Juanda takes a long time, and moves in for about 20,000 more. The player calls immediately, and shows {4-Spades}{5-Spades} for the open-ended straight flush draw. Juanda flips over {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} for bottom pair. The {2-Spades} comes on the turn, making the straight flush, and securing Juanda's destiny. John Junada has been eliminated from the tournament.

John Duthie Avoids Elimination

With a seriously short stack, EPT creator John Duthie was all-in. He had five callers. The flop was {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Everyone checked to Maureen Feduniak, who bet 5K. Abe Mosseri was the only player who called. The turn was {5-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was {K-Hearts} and Mosseri bet 10K. Feduniak called.

John Duthie: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Maureen Feduniak: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Abe Mosseri: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

Mosseri won the side pot, but Duthie won the main pot.
