Grant Lang - 11th place
Grant Lang - 11th place
As the players and media walked away from this hand, three were heard to say: "Explain that to me?"

Grant made it 120K to go and Tim Phan raised 200K; Grant immediately says: "All-in!" for his last 290K . Tim called and tabled {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}; Grant shows {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The board falls K7279 and Grant goes home.

There will be a short break as the players redraw for seats at the final 10-handed table.

Carlos Mortensen Doubles Through Thomas Wahlroos

Mortensen pumps his fist as he makes a full house on the turn
Mortensen pumps his fist as he makes a full house on the turn
Carlos Mortensen raised to 200,000 from early position. Thomas Wahlroos called and Guy Laliberte called from the big blind. The flop was {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Wahlroos checked, Laliberte checked, and Mortensen bet 500,000. Wahlroos moved all-in and Mortensen insta-called. Mortensen showed the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} for a set of aces, while Wahlroos showed the {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for top pair and the nut flush draw. The turn was the {7-Spades}, giving a full house to Mortensen and Wahlroos was drawing dead. The meaningless {2-Hearts} fell on the river and Mortensen doubled up.

After the hand, Mortensen was up to 5.6M in chips while Wahlroos dropped to 4M.
