Layani Loses Ground

Roger Hairabedian limped UTG for 2,000 and Jonathan Layani raised it up directly to his left to about 7,000. Hairabedian made the call and the two saw a {6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, prompting both players to check.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Hairabedian led out for 12,000. Layani made the call and the players saw the {2-Clubs} hit the river.

Once again Hairabedian led out, this time for 21,000. Layani thought it through for about 30 seconds or so, counting out the chips it would take to make the call before eventually sliding the stack of yellow chips +1 into the center.

Hairabedian rolled over the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}, and Layani mucked.

Hairabedian had about 121,000 after the hand, while Layani slipped to about 80,000
