Guenn Wiped Off His Face

Mickael Guenni raised to 99,000 from the button and got those precious blinds and antes, but the next hand he opened to 99,000 again only to find Per Linde waking up and moving all-in.

Guenni folded this second time before conversing with someone in crowd about making the fold.

Hands 39-41

#39 - Antoine Amourette raised to 80,000 and again Nourredine Aïtaleb called, despite his stack now looking fairly short. Fabrice Touil squeezed all-in though and got the other two to lay down their hands.

#40 - Amourette raised the next hand as well, making it 80,000 once more and this time he won the blinds and antes.

#41 - Mickael Guenni raised to 89,000 from the small blind and Theo Jorgensen gave up the big blind.

Good in Theo-ry, Good in Practice

Mickael Guenni raised to 139,000 on Hand 37. Theo Jorgensen said, "I'm going to raise the absolute minimum I can raise..." He made it 278,000 to go.

Guenni thought for a couple of minutes, but really did look like he wanted to go any further with the hand. "I fold" he said and Jorgensen picked up a chunky pot without even needing a flop.

On hand 38, Theo Jorgensen raised to 77,000 and Nourredine Aïtaleb made the call from the blinds. The flop was as dry as the Gobi desert, coming {7-Spades} {3-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}, Aïtaleb checked and Jorgensen bet 80,000 to pick it up.

Arnaud Mattern Eliminated in 7th Place (€82,175)

Antoine Amourette raised preflop to 55,000 and Arnaud Mattern reraised all-in from the big blind. Amourette snapped quicker than a hungry crocodile.

Amourette : {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}
Mattern: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

A very sticky spot for the former EPT winner and he was drawing dead by the turn of the {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} {8-Diamonds} board. Mattern shook hands with his assassin and wished everyone good luck, six players remain.

Amourette Receives Timely Boost

Theo Jorgensen picked up a pot blind on blind against Antoine Amourette after both checked down a fairly unremarkable board, the Dane winning with Jack-high.

Mickael Guenni raised to a hefty 129,000 and picked up the blinds and antes.

Jorgensen raised to 60,000 from the cutoff, Antoine Amourette made the call in on the button but the blinds folded.

"We're actually taking a flop" said a delighted Jorgensen but he checked the {8-} {5-} {3-} flop. Amourette bet 80,000 before Jorgensen check-raised to 225,000. Amourette then shoved and Jorgensen did not instantly call, he deliberated for a minute but then released his hand.

Amourette is back in this and almost up to a million as a result.

Guenni Going Upwards

Theo Jorgensen raised to 65,000 and Antoine Amourette reraised all-in again.

"Take it down," said Jorgensen, releasing his hand.

Hand 28 and Mickael Guenni got a walk. "Come on boy!" said Nourredine Aïtaleb again.

The action was passed to Mickael Guenni but Arnaud Mattern said to Jorgensen, "You have to come up with a new way to get him to not push!"

"Please don't push!" begged Jorgensen, it worked since Guenni just limped in. Jorgensen checked his option and they saw a {Q-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} flop, Guenni checked but this time Jorgensen fired out 32,000.

Guenni made the call and the turn was the {6-Clubs}, Guenni checked again and Jorgensen this time bet 80,000. Guenni moved all-in and Jorgensen quickly folded.

"Come on boy!" said Nourredine Aïtaleb once more, he hasn't said much else!
