Igor Devkin Eliminated in 6th Place ($62,000)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Igor Devkin
Igor Devkin

Dmitry Gromov opened under the gun for 100,000, and action folded to Nicolas Chouity in the small blind. The start of day chip leader made it 240,000, and Igor Devkin thought about it in the small blind. He announced all in, for what looked like 800,000. Gromov folded, Chouity insta called.

Igor Devkin: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Nicolas Chouity: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Gromov said he folded an ace, and expected one on the river to pop up. In the meantime Devkin needed a queen or some other help, but wouldn't get it: {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Gromov had his hands in the air as he would have won the hand, but that made no difference for Devkin and Chouity of course. Devkin departed in 6th place, Chouity has around 3.7 million.

Lewis Beats Chouity Again in a Big Pot

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Nicolas Chouity opened for 80,000 from the cutoff, and Toby Lewis in the big blind made the call.

Lewis check called 90,000 on {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}, another 160,000 on the {A-Spades}-turn, and didn't waste much time check calling the 360,000 bet Chouity fired on the {K-Spades}-river either.

Chouity mucked with some frustration when his river bet got almost snap called. Lewis mucked as well, and was pushed the pot.

Chouity bet out 160,000, Lewis called rather quickly.

The {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and Chouity check folded to Lewis' push.

Devkin Doubles the First Hand

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In the first hand, Nicolas Chouity opened from early position to 80,000, and right next to him Igor Devkin shoved all in for the 430,000 he had left after paying the 5,000 ante. Action foldedback to Chouity, who made the call.

Chouity: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Devkin: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}

The {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Spades} was a good one for Devkin, stealing some outs from Chouity. The {8-Clubs} on the turn was a blank, and the {5-Spades} was the cherry on top of Devkin's double.

Ori Miller

Ori Miller is s 31-year old professional poker player hailing from Tel-Aviv in Israel. Miller has close to $400,000 in live tournament earnings, but this is the first time he has cashed in a World Poker Tour event.

Miller has cashed nine times in events held in the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel & Casino, which probably accounts for the fact that he seems so relaxed at the table. His largest cash to date came in Aug 2010 when he finished runner-up to Perica Bukara in a $25,750 NLHE High Roller in this very venue.

Miller will start the final table third in chips after eliminating the Italian Antonio Buonanno KK v JJ for a pot worth in excess of 2m. Miller taking the ultimate revenge on Buonanno after the former EPT Grand Final champ flopped quad aces, in a four-bet pot, holding ace-jack, when Miller was holding pocket kings.

Miller has been playing poker professionally for seven years, notes that PLO is his favorite game, and he has recently tied the knot with his beloved.
