Troyanovskiy And Koutoupas Eliminated

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Vladimir Troyanovskiy
Vladimir Troyanovskiy

As we approached the table, the big blind just checked to Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the cutoff on a {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}-flop. The Russian High Roller made a 1,200 continuation bet, and received a call.

The turn brought the {K-Spades} to the table, and the big blind checked once more. Troyanovskiy now fired 3,200, and got check raised to 7,900. Troyanovskiy made the call, with about 12,000 behind.

The {Q-Diamonds} completed the board, and the big blind tossed in three 5,000 chips to put his Russian opponent all in. Troyanovskiy double checked his cards, thought for a bit, and called.

The big blind showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and Troyanovskiy mucked his hand. The dealer didn't flip 'em over, and Troyanovskiy made his exit.

On a different table, Sotirios Koutoupas was eliminated. We didn't get any details, but we're sure the EPT Deauville winner is out of luck and out of chips.

If either or both player will re enter is to be seen. They could also just give it another try tomorrow.

Let Me Take A Selfie! - win Exclusive partypoker Limited Edition Monster Headphones

You know something's special, when they call it "Exclusive Limited Edition". That's a mouthful, and not without reason. The Exclusive partypoker Limited Edition Monster Headphones produce amazing sound, and they don't look bad either.

There are several ways of winning these headphones here at the 2014 partypoker World Poker Tour Merit North Cyprus Classic. You have to either be the last partypoker qualifier standing here, or you'll have to get your phone and twitter involved.

If you're the last partypoker qualifier standing in this event, chances are you're already in the money and you'll be rich enough to buy a pair of Monster headphones yourself. But the Exclusive partypoker Limited Edition version is harder to get your hands on, so that should make it worth your while anyway.

If you didn't qualify through partypoker, there's another option to go home with the headphones. The Royal Flush Girls will walk around with the limited edition headphones tomorrow, and ask you to take a selfie with them while wearing them. Simply use the front camera to shoot a photo with one of the beautiful ladies (or both) and tweet it using the hashtag #WPTCyprus. The Royal Flush Girls will then pick the best selfie, and reward it with the exclusive headphones. And if you don't end up winning, at least you have a photo with some eye candy right?

Also starting from day 2, each day the World Poker Tour will randomly giveaway partypoker Monster headphones! Tweet a pic of your Monster stack using #WPTCyprus if you're here in the Merit, and you might just get a pair even without having to take a selfie.

Check Raise Fold

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

We missed the precise pre flop action, but saw Dmitry Gromov raise from the cutoff to 925. The player on the button made the call, and so did the player under the gun who had either limped before the flop, or raised to 400.

Both the under the gun player and Gromov checked on {3-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and the button bet out 1,650. The first player folded, but big stack Gromov had bigger plans. He check raised to 4,150 and action was back on his neighbor. The button thought for some time, and eventually three bet to 8,125 with about 20,000 behind.

Gromov went into the tank for some time, before eventually releasing his hand. Gromov is still pretty rich in chips, he has a little over 75,000 left after this hand.

Soul Read

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Mickey Petersen opened under the gun to 600, and just the player on the button made the call.

Petersen made a 1,200 continuation bet on {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, and his opponent called without much hesitation.

Petersen gave up and checked the {7-Hearts} and {5-Diamonds} that followed, his opponent checked behind both streets.

Petersen showed the unimproved {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}, his opponent might have had a read on the deck and showed {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a turned third pair which was good.

Darnit, No Hit!

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

As we arrived, Mark Darner just made the call before the flop from the big blind.

He checked to his middle position opponent on {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and the gentleman checked behind.

Darner bet out 1,600 after the {J-Spades} hit the turn, and a call followed rather quickly.

Both players opted to check the {6-Clubs} on the river, and Darner showed {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the missed open ended straight flush draw. His opponent didn't have much either with the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}, but it was enough to take it down.

Hakim Value Bets Kings

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

We missed what exactly happened before the flop, but saw Hakim raise to 2,600. His neighbor on his left made the call, indicating it was a four bet pot.

Hakim and his opponent both checked the {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}-flop, and {10-Clubs}-turn. The river came the {6-Clubs}, and Hakim bet out 2,600. His opponent called, but mucked as soon as Hakim showed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}.
