The only upside for Boujenah is that things can't get much worse from here on out, as getting eliminated is about the worst that could happen today. Wait, he could get eaten by a shark, or attacked by one of these vicious seagals on the beach - but let's stay positive and hope Ilan Boujenah's day only gets better from here on out.
Boujenah told us this morning his day already started out terrible, and with the frustration that accompanied a situation earlier today, let's just say he wasn't wearing his happy-face.
Just now he four bet pocket fives into Aliaksei Boika, who "surprisingly" wasn't willing to lay down pocket queens. The two remaining fives stayed in the deck (or they might just have been in the muck already), and Boujenah stomped out the tournament floor.
On a -flop, two players checked to Jeffrey Hakim on the button. The Lebanese player bet out 13,000 from the button, and just a player in mid-position made the call, the other player folded.
The fell on the turn, and action checked once more to Hakim. Hakim bet out a hefty 23,500, and his opponent immediately shoved all in. Hakim thought about it for just about ten seconds, and laid it down.
We just counted Sam Trickett's stack, but the next round he already had significantly more. Our colleague told us Trickett had eliminated a player.
Someone committed his last 30,000 (19 big blinds) with pocket sevens. Just as easy as yesterday, where he called a comparable shove with aces, Trickett had an easy call. This time Trickett had queens, and the sevens were nowhere to be seen.
A third player had 15,000 in the middle already, but decided against calling after some tanking. In the meantime, Antoine Abou Khalil and his right hand neighbor both had all of their chips in the middle.
Time for a showdown, and Abou Khalil turned out to be well ahead. His was up against and didn't get into too much trouble: . Besides his opponent gaining some additional outs on the turn, nothing all too exciting for Abou Khalil, and he expanded his stack to just under 120,000.
