Day 1b Started
We're back once again for the second of two start days for the WPT Nottingham event. Last night saw the Day 1a field of 94 whittled down to just 40 with former WSOPE Main Event winner Adrian Mateos finishing as the chip leader with 181,200. Today the field is expected to be much bigger with many of those who played the High Roller last night expected to play. Incidentally, that event was won by Brynn Kenney who defeated Patrick Leonard heads-up for the £100,000 first prize.
With many players who busted yesterday expected to re-enter today, the field needs to hit 240 players to make the £1 million guarantee - though anyone wishing to enter does have until the start of Day 2 to do so. Play will begin at 1pm with nine levels scheduled once more, meaning the day will finish around 11.30pm tonight.

There's already 122 players in here at Dusk Til Dawn in Nottingham. They'll need that to almost double though to make the £1 million guarantee.

Mike Hill opened to 250 preflop before Thomas Dunwoodie made it 600 behind him. Ross Mannion then four-bet on the button to 1,350 and Dave Ulliott slid out a five-bet to 3,000 from the big blind.
Hill and Dunwoodie folded and Mannion made the call to see a flop. Ulliott led out for 4,500 and Mannion took about 30 seconds before making it 11,050 to go. Ulliott tanked for a few minutes before saying, "Show me a bluff..." and mucking his hand.
Mannion passed his cards face down to the dealer.

Mitch Johnson raised to 300 preflop and was called by Antonio Buonanno in the small blind and Andreas Lytras in the big blind. The flop came down and it was checked to Johnson who bet 500. Buonanno called and Lytras folded before the dealer put out the on the turn.
Both players checked and the came on the river, Buonanno checked again and Johnson bet 900 this time. The Italian thought briefly but gave his hand up.
