Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

The first break of the tournament has just started. Play will resume in 15 minutes.

Bui Takes One Down

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Oanh Bui raised under the gun to 600 and Jan George called in position after which Soufiane Messadek called as well from the button.

The flop brought out {3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Bui bet 800, George called. On the turn the {9-Diamonds} popped up and Bui bet another 1,400, which was enough to get George to fold.

Bui raked in this pot and chipped up to around 31,000.

Messadek Raises the River

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

The board read {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades} with three players still involved and David Janssen decided to check. Jan George bet 3,300 and the player on his left, Frenchman Soufiane Messadek, raised it up to 7,000.

Janssen quickly folded and George hesitated for a bit before also letting go of his hand. George's still off to a nice start as he sits on around 35,000 chips compared to Messadek's 28,000. Janssen has 23,500 chips left.

Messadek finished 9th in the WPT500 at Aria in Las Vegas last summer where he cashed for $26,000. That tournament was ultimately won by Sean Yu who took home $260,000 in this $1,000,000 Guaranteed event that had 3,599 entries.

An Interesting Line Up on Table 29

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

We just spotted an interesting line-up on Table 29 that starts with David Janssen in seat 1. Janssen, from Belgium, has $105,340 in live tournament cashes, his biggest result being a fifth place finish at Unibet Open Riga in 2011.

Two seats over we've spotted one of the Femme Fatales of Dutch poker with Oanh Bui. Bui has live tournament cashes in seven different countries, including three cashes at the World Series of Poker. Bui finished 96th in the Ladies Event out of 1,054 players in 2010.

To Bui's left we spotted Zeus Post, a very successful regular in Holland Casino. Post won six tournaments at Holland Casino outright in the last three years, his biggest being the €1,500 Dutch Open Main Event for €48,085 in December 2013.

Jan George is the fourth player we've recognized, whose cashes at Holland Casino date back to 2007. George has $108,930 in live tournament earnings including three victories.

Three More Familiar Faces

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

When strolling through the beautiful poker room here at Holland Casino Valkenburg we noticed three more players of stature.

Stieven Razab-Sekh has notched up six live cashes in the Netherlands this year alone and in total he has $441,807 in career earnings. In the past Razab-Sekh finished third in Unibet Open Prague for €37,000 and his biggest victory came at the 2009 Dutch Open in Rotterdam when was victorious and took home €68,000.

Thomas Brader doesn't have as many live results, but he's been coming on recently with a cash in the EPT Barcelona Main Event where he finished 233rd. Brader's mainly an online player, and plays under the handle 'ImADickted2U'. A profile written by Frank Op de Woerd, in Dutch, can be found right here.
