Trevor Delaney is back as the chip leader looking to improve on the last WPT he played here at Playground Poker Club. This spring, Delaney made the final table, ultimately finishing fifth in the WPT Canadian Spring Championship.
Just 16 players remain and they'll continue until the final table of six is set. Play kicks off at noon with 90-minute levels.
Aside from Delaney as the chip leader, Darryll Fish, Darren Elias (who turns 29 today), Giacomo Fundaro, Jason Mann, and Carter Swidler will return to the tables trying to get within reach of that top prize of $433,410 CAD.

It didn't take long to lose two of the short stacks. Within minutes we've lost Randy Pfeifer and Harpreet Gill, finishing in 15th and 16th, respectively.

Mike Dentale opened the action with a raise to 65,000 from the button and Darren Elias called from the big blind. The dealer swiped across the felt.
Both players checked to the turn and Elias checked again. Dentale bet 100,000 and Elias called.
The river card was the and Elias checked. Dentale checked behind and Elias flipped over for a straight.
"Flopped it, birthday boy," said a player at the table. Dentale mucked his cards.

Jason Mann just pushed all in preflop with his short stack from the hijack seat. With action on chip leading Trevor Delaney in the small blind, Mann asked, "Did you want a count?" gesturing to his stack.
It folded all the way around and he scooped up the small pot.
"Good! That would've been a bad way to bust." He explained that, yes, there are "good" ways to bust, and this hand wasn't one of them. "It was a preflop bluff."
We just witnessed Carter Swidler get involved in three hands in a row and coming out the other end for the better.
Darren Elias raised from the hijack seat and Carter Swidler pushed all in from the big blind. Elias made the call.

After the board ran out , Swidler picked up the double-up.
Then, in the next hand, Jared Mahoney raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Swidler raised from the small blind, going to a flop of after Mahoney called.
Swidler continued with a bet of 85,000 and Mahoney called. The hit the table and both players checked. The river also checked through and Swidler showed . He flipped them back on their faces after Mahoney showed to win the pot.
In the next hand, Swidler was on the button and pushed all in for 450,000. Mahoney was in the big blind and tanked before folding.

On a flop of , Jared Mahoney checked to Carter Swidler who bet 55,000, getting a call from Mahoney.
The turn came and Mahoney led out for 150,000, getting a call from Swidler. The river was and Mahoney continued for 225,000.

"This is so sick," he said, shaking his head.
Eventually, Swidler folded face-up, showing , and Mahoney picked up the pot.
