Van den Berg Sends Verheijen to the Rail

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Gijs Verheijen was just caught wondering on the rail, and he explained to us how he busted out of the Main Event. Verheijen shoved all in under the gun for 28,000 and Thierry van den Berg made the call, after which the other players folded.

Verheijen tabled {A-}{Q-} and that was no good against Van den Berg's {A-}{K-}.

Van den Berg is in great shape for a deep run, as he now sits on 112 big blinds.

Schaap Doesn't Dare To Call Andersson's Big Shove

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Frederik Andersson
Frederik Andersson

Ad Schaap still had 85,000 in front of him, but the tower of black 5,000 chips was missing, so we asked what had happened.

Schaap told us he opened {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and picked up three callers, including Fredrik Andersson in the big blind.

The flop came {A-}{9-}{2-} with two spades, giving Schaap top two. Schaap made a continuation bet of 9,300 and just Andersson called, both other opponents folded.

Schaap mistakenly checked on the {10-Hearts} turn first while it wasn't on him to announce his action yet. Action was still on Andersson who decided to bet 25,000. Schaap called.

The {K-Diamonds} completed the board and Andersson moved all in. Schaap made the lay down after some tanking.

Marsh and Trumper Chop It Up

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Simon Trumper
Simon Trumper

Luke Marsh opened to 3,500 from middle position and Simon Trumper three-bet to 9,500 from the hijack. Action quickly folded back to Marsh, and he called.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Marsh checked. Trumper bet 20,000 with 32,000 behind and Marsh moved all in. Marsh had Trumper covered but not by a whole lot.

"You really hit the ace-ten on me?" Trumper said. About five minutes of tanking passed, and then all of the sudden Trumper called.

Luke Marsh: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Simon Trumper: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Trumper was freerolling but by the time the {5-Spades} hit the turn, that was of no importance anymore. The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river and the two Brits chopped the pot.

Down to 106

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We are down to 106 players and that means the average stack right now is 96,509 chips or 60 big blinds. As soon as we get down to the final 100 play will be nine-handed. Due to the limited number of available tables play has been 10-handed up until this point.
