Mohamed Almani defended his big blind and then check-called a bet of 55,000 on the
turn. Atanas Kavrakov as initial aggressor did smell a trap when the
river saw another check by Almani and checked behind. Almani flipped over
for trips and the Bulgarian tapped the table.
Majid Ejlal Noubarian is "pushing the new generation around" and does exactly what chip leaders are supposed to do: Putting pressure on the opponents. Latest example was a successful three-bet to 39,000 after a 16,000-open by Grigorii Rodin.
Kemal Sevevi min-raised from under the gun and Mohamed Almani three-bet small, too small. He was correctly told that the reraise has to be to at least 24,000 and that's what Almani put into the pot. After a flop of
, Almani bet and Sevevi quickly folded, exposing
to the table.
Vasili Kesnin raised to 17,000 and eventually called the three-bet shove of Ercan Olgun for 127,000 in total. The Russian was even happy about a split but his
could not get there against the
of Olgun. With the board running out
, Olgun doubled up and is back in the game.
After a raise to 16,000 by Vitalii Grekul on the button, Aykutalp Yilmaz moved all in for 167,000 chips and was called by the Ukrainian. Yilmaz had a kicker problem with
against the
of Grekul and both players would find top pair on the
flop. Neither the
turn nor the
river changed anything and Yilmaz headed to the rail.
After a preflop all in between Marco Della Tommasina and Mohamed Almani, the Italian was at risk for 147,000 with ace-king. Almani had him covered but could only reveal ace-queen, a ten-high board let Della Tommasina score a vital double up.
Grigorii Rodin raised to 16,000 and Ercan Olgun three-bet to 40,000 from the cutoff. All other players folded and Olgun did so as well after the four-bet shove of the Russian. Olgun opened the next hand to 17,000 and folded to the small three-bet of chip leader Majid Ejlal Noubarian.
