Triple Up for Minaev

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ercan Olgun had won a pot off Michael Mizrachi again and then raised to 12,000 from under the gun. Sergey Minaev moved all in for 28,000 from the button and Mizrachi called out of the big blind, so did Olgun. Both checked down the {5-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Clubs} {9-Spades} {8-Hearts} board and Mizrachi's {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} as well as Olgun's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} could not score the knockout. Minaev turned over {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} for a full house and tripled up.

Shortly after, Olgun got involved in a hand with F.S. and tried to bluff the river of a queen-high board, but F.S. called with {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} and the eight on the river. Olgun was ahead until the final community card but his {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} only came out second best.

Sergey Minaev Eliminated in 19th Place (€3,600)

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Sergey Minaev
Sergey Minaev

Sergey Minaev was all in preflop after a raise and Michael Mizrachi isolated but Atanas Kavrakov didn't go anywhere, putting himself also at risk for 232,500. Mizrachi had the biggest stack but Minaev's {A-} {J-} already took away one of his outs, as the American had {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} and Kavrakov flipped with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {J-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {4-Spades} {A-Clubs} to put a dent into Mizrachi's stack and eliminate Minaev in 19th place.

Mizrachi Crippled in Consecutive Hands

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

After the previous three-way all in, Michael Mizrachi got involved in yet another massive pot. He called a raise to 10,500 by Carl Maertzen and the player in the big blind called as well. Maertzen then made a continuation bet of 14,000 on the {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop and only Mizrachi called.

On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Maertzen made it 31,000 to go and "The Grinder" didn't go anywhere, tossed in the chips. With the {3-Diamonds} river as final card, F.S. bet 76,000 and Mizrachi moved all in. Since a backdoor flush seemed unlikely, the Austrian called for over 200,000 with {4-Spades} {4-Hearts} and the American had to show {9-} {10-} for a busted gutshot ...

Erwann Pecheux Eliminated in 18th Place (€3,800)

At the same time another huge hand happened on the third table, Erwann Pecheux three-bet shoved his short stack with pocket kings. Initial raiser Jack Torbay called from under the gun with ace-quen and hit the ace in order to knock out the Frenchman.

For his efforts, Pecheux collects €3,800 and will most likely jump straight into the next event.

Give and Take

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ercan Olgun appears to be the new chip leader and it could have been Carl Martzen if he didn't had to let Vitalii Grekul double through him for 120,000 with pocket kings. However, Martzen took revenge shortly after, three-betting from 13,000 to 30,000 and Grekul calling.

Grekul check-called 34,000 on the {8-Spades} {4-Spades} {9-Clubs} flop and 60,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn before check-folding to the all in on the {9-Clubs} river.

Michael Mizrachi Eliminated in 17th Place (€3,800)

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Atanas Kavrakov raised to 13,000 and snap-called the three-bet shove of Michael Mizrachi for what looked like 65,000 with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. It was a flip against the {6-Hearts} {6-Spades} of the American and Kavrakov would emerge victorious on a board of {7-Clubs} {J-Spades} {2-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {5-Spades}.
