Ace-High Call for Warburton

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mario Sanchez opened to 25,000 on the button and Steven Warburton defended his big blind with a call. Warburton went on to check-call an 18,000 bet on the {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop, with both players checking the {4-Hearts} turn. Warburton checked the {J-Spades} river and called when Sanchez fired a 40,000 bet.

Warburton turned over {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and it was good, Sanchez had made his move with {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Michael Mizrachi tried but failed to stop the rot and is now on the sidelines. Mian Wei was his executioner, his {Q-}{7-} catching a queen on the river to beat Mizrachi's {K-}{10-} and the £250,000 Guaranteed High Roller is now three-handed.

Mizrachi on the Slide

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Things aren't going great for Michael Mizrachi at the moment and he needs to do something to halt the slide.

He lost a big pot when he led for 35,000 from the small blind on a {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and Steven Warburton called from under the gun. Mizrachi bet again on the {9-Hearts} turn and Warburton called the 50,000. On the {2-Clubs} river, Mizrachi checked and then tank-folded to Warburton's all-in bet that was 310,000 effective.

A couple of hands later and Warburton led for 50,000 on a {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop in the small blind, Mario Sanchez Cano called, Mizrachi called and Mian Wei raised to 125,000. Only Mizrachi called and then checked the {8-Hearts} river. Wei checked behind and won courtesy of his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Big Pot Goes Mizrachi's Way

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Mizrachi opened to 17,000 from the cutoff and Steven Warburton called from the big blind. A {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop saw Warburton check-call a 20,000 bet from Mizrachi. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Warburton check-called a chunkier 40,000 bet from his American foe.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds} into play and Warburton checked again. Mizrachi made it 50,000 to go and Warburton folded after a long, hard think. Mizrachi showed him the {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} as he did so.
