Man Busts From Poker Tournament

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The tournament is down to 22 players following the elimination of a mystery man. The player who chose to be known simply as "anonymous" committed his last few chips with {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} on a {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop and was called by Mario Sanchez Casno holding {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. No ace on the {5-Diamonds} turn or the {7-Diamonds} river sent the secretive player to the sidelines.

Mizrachi Building Mountains

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Michael Mizrachi

"Who let Mizrachi play, he's got too many chips," joked Simon Higgins to us on the tournament floor, himself a victim of Mizrachi, losing a flip to bust in 23rd place.

Mizrachi is up to a colossal 380,000 chips now and is going to be a real pain to play again now that he can bully everyone.

After Mario Sanchez Cano raised to 7,000 from early position, Daniel Barriocanal three-bet to 18,700 only to see Mizrachi make it 36,500 from the small blind. Both of the initial raisers folded and Mizrachi continued building mountains of chips.

Trickett Terminated

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Sam Trickett
Sam Trickett

Sam Trickett's tournament is over and his name goes down as the 16th place finisher.

Trickett shoved for 39,000 from middle position and was called by Billy Chattaway one seat along. Daniel McAulay ten pushed all-in from the small blind, the big blind folded, as did Chattaway, and the cards were flipped onto their backs.

McAulay held the powerhouse that is {K-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Trickett the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. The kings remained best on the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop and locked up the hand on the {K-Clubs} turn, which is when Trickett stood from the table and said his goodbyes. To rub salt in the wound, the river was the {A-Spades}, too little too late, and Trickett heads into the foggy Nottingham evening.

Pustzai Devoured by Bacon

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Balint Pusztai
Balint Pusztai

Balint Pusztai is gone in 15th place after losing a coinflip to Andy Bacon. Pusztai had been nursing a short stack and committed those chips with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and was racing against Bacon's {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The sixes held until the river of the {q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} board, the jack on the river busting Pusztai and leaving only 15 players in the hunt for the £100,000 first place prize.
