Lakhov Shoves on Urbanovich

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

On a board of {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} it was Dzmitry Urbanovich who made a bet of 6,700, with about 14,000 behind. Urbanovich, seated in the hijack, seemed rather confident, but that changed after his neighbor Alexander Lakhov raised to 30,000 from the cutoff.

Urbanovich thought for just a bit, before tossing his cards into the muck.

Lakhov played yesterday as well, but was the first one to bust. He's back at it today, and so far he's doing a lot better.

Bozinovic Folds to Small River Bet

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs} we saw a bet of 1,200 in front of Vladimir Bozinovic. Small blind Andrej Cintula had 2,800 in front of him though, and Bozinovic made the call.

Cintula bet 3,000 on the {Q-Spades} turn and Bozinovic placed three 1,000 chips over the line.

The {6-Spades} on the river paired the board. Cintula now bet a mere 2,500 and Bozinovic folded rather quickly.

One More High Roller

Level 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Russian high stakes cash game player Vladimir Shchemelev is wandering around in the tournament area. He just asked someone from the staff if he could still register. When he was told that there was late registration the entire day, he nodded and wandered off.

Will we see Shchemelev make his entrance in the WPT Main Event today? We'll keep you up to date!

Koutoupas Flopped It!

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Sotiris Koutoupas
Sotiris Koutoupas

The player in the cut off opened for 500 and Sotirios Koutoupas in the small blind made the call after pondering for a second or two. The big blind came along for the ride and the three of them saw a flop: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Action checked around and the {5-Spades} fell on the turn. Koutoupas bet out 1,000 and the big blind was quick to call, the initial raiser folded.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Koutoupas bet out 5,000 without giving it too much thoughts it appeared. The big blind made the call, but couldn't beat Koutoupas's flopped flush with {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

The big blind took one more glance at his cards, and mucked what was supposedly a straight.

Call, Call, Bet

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

Atanas Kavrakov opened the cutoff for 500 and Ana Marquez on the button made the call. Both blind called as well and a flop of {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} appeared. The players in the blinds checked to Kavrakov and the initial raiser bet 1,100. Just Marquez made the call, both blinds folded.

Kavrakov bet another 2,200 on the {8-Hearts} turn and again Marquez was the one calling.

The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and Kavrakov now checked. Marquez bet 4,300 and Kavrakov was quick to fold.
