Frederik Jensen opened to 700 from middle position and his next door neighbor Kristiyan Ivanov in the hijack three bet to 1,850. Action folded back to Jensen who made the call.
The flop came ![]()
![]()
and Jensen lead out for 2,000 into the 4,600 pot. Ivanov made the call without much hesitation.
The
fell on the turn and Jensen now bet 4,700. Again Ivanov didn't waste much time calling.
The
on the river completed the board. Jensen bet out 11,200 with about 6,000 behind. Ivanov thought for a little bit before folding, Jensen mucked his cards by pushing them over the line, while simultaneously grabbing the pot the dealer was pushing towards him.
"You wanna see 'em Frank?" Jensen asked your humble PokerNews reporter. As I nodded, Jensen snatched back the cards the dealer was about to muck, and flipped over his ![]()
with a big grin on his face.

Josef Klinger, Austria's all time money leader with more than $1.7 million in cashes, opened to 800. His neighbor on his left three bet to a whopping 4,000 which made everyone fold rather quickly. Everyone but Klinger that is.
According to our colleagues of the World Poker Tour Blog, Klinger frowned and made sure he heard the amount correctly before pushing all in. Heim made the call for his 20,000 stack.

The ![]()
![]()
on the flop didn't bring much excitement, but the
on the turn was a dangerous card for Klinger. The
on the river was a blank though and Heim hit the rail.
Klinger, who last cash in a poker tournament dates back to October 2010, is up to 77,000.
You shouldn't take the title of this post too serious by the way, Heim still has the option to re enter once today, and tomorrow if he wants to.

126 players are registered for Day 1b currently. Of those 126, 115 remain, which makes for an average stack of 32,900. Registration is open up until the start of play tomorrow at 2 p.m.
How good are German Players? And how damn many are there on the highest level? Those aren't sincere questions by the way, they're rhetorical.
In what other European country other than Germany can you win a huge tournament for $803,182, and only be the number 39 on the all time money list. Sebastian Pauli has well over a million in life time cashes, and he just barely made the top 40 of his country.
Anyway, he just won a decent pot, so that's why we started this little rant.
Nanos Konstantinos opened for 850 and EPT London champion Sebastian Pauli three bet to 2,500 from the big blind. Konstantinos made the call and the flop came ![]()
![]()
.
Pauli bet 2,300 and Konstantinos made the call. Both players checked the
on the turn and so the
on the river was seen without additional charge. Once more both players checked, and Pauli's ![]()
turned out a winner.

Koren opened to 800 from the cutoff and the player on the button made the call. Laszlo Bezseny in the small blind over called to make the party three handed.
The flop came ![]()
![]()
and Bezseny checked to Koren. The Austrian regular bet out 1,500 and the button called. Bezseny squeezed to "3,000 something" according to Koren. Koren made it 6,800 and the button made the call.
Bezseny now squeezed again, this time making it 18,200. Koren shoved all in for 34,750 and the button folded. Bezseny thought for a little bit, before committing his 31,000 stack.
Koren showed ![]()
and had Bezseny with ![]()
in a though spot.
The
on the turn did nothing, and neither did the
on the river.
Koren lost some chips the next hand when he three bet Alain Medesan who called with tens and spiked a ten. That pot didn't get out of hand though, and Koren is still sitting on a very comfortable 70,000 stack.

Nikolaus Teichert opened for 900 under the gun and Simeon Naydenov made the call from the hijack. Ognjen Sekularac on the button over called.
![]()

Teichert made a bet of 1,400 and Naydenov quickly released. Sekularac made the call though, making the pot heads up going to the turn.
The
supplemented the board and Teichert bet just slightly more than on the flop; 1,500. Sekularac grabbed five 1,000 chips and smashed them in the middle. Teichert made the call.
The
on the river made Teichert check. Sekularac tossed in 13,200 in chips and Teichert folded rather quickly.
"Nice hand" said Naydenov. Sekularac didn't respond and just stacked his new found chips.
