- Jens Lakemeier is already squeezing lemon juice over his two giant schnitzels. In the country of schnitzels, the breaded meat can be eaten at any time, even breakfast and lunch.
- "Ohhh! It's the new style!" laughed Sotirios Koutoupas after he unsuccessfully isolated Jitka Seidler's limp. She limp reraised all in and Koutoupas folded after having raised to 7,000 from the button.
- Artur Koren is seated right next to Fedor Holz and the contrast couldn't be bigger. Koren is one of the shortest stacks in the house, Holz one of the biggest. The tournament director asked if Koren could clearly separate his stack from Holz who was still stacking, and Koren got slightly irritated by the request.
