Monfroy Doubles Through Lombaerts

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Former massive chip leader Kyne Elmouloua is not a millionaire anymore and Nico Lombaerts is two big blinds away from falling below the elusive mark, too. Lombaerts raised to 22,000 and Jean Michel Texier called from one seat over before Dimitro Monfroy moved all in for 123,000. Lombaerts called and Texier folded.

Lombaerts: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Monfroy: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

The chip leader would complete a flush on the river of a {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} board, but the very same card also completed a full house for Monfroy. Table neighbor Jean Marie Vandeborne joked to Monfroy that he had been complaining about being very short not long ago.

Texier Doubles Short

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jean Michel Texier, the last PMU online qualifier, was down all the way to 80,000 and doubled up with {A-} {10-} against pocket queens. Julien Duveau is doing even better with almost twice the current average.

Della Tommasina Loses Final Flip

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Marco Della Tommasina
Marco Della Tommasina

Marco Della Tommasina open-shoved from early position for 164,000 and was called by Stephen Woodhead in the big blind, who held around 190,000 in chips. It was a flip for the Italian with {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} and the {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} for Woodhead. The board ran out {3-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} and Della Tommasina added another cash in a World Poker Tour National event to his resume after finishing fourth in Cyprus last month.

Pecheux Busts Lust

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Thomas Lust
Thomas Lust

After being reduced to only 10 big blinds, Thomas Lust moved all in with {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} and Erwann Pecheux looked him up from two seats over with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. There was no surprise on the board and Lust headed to the payout desk in 31st place.

Calling the King

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Christian van der Haegen was all in for less than 100,000 and Thomas Lust reshoved from one seat over, everyone else got out of the way. "Ah well, it's a flip," van der Haegen said when spotting his {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds} being up against the {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} of Lust. On the {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} turn, van der Haegen loudly asked for a king and sure enough the dealer burned and turned the {K-Diamonds} river to make the pair of Lust meaningless.

De Korver is not Flipping

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Heinrich Pauker raised to 21,000 and Pieter de Korver three-bet to 51,000 out of the cutoff. One seat over, Simon Steinberg moved all in for 140,000 and Pauker quickly folded. "I hope I am flipping, but I don't know," de Korver said before eventually cutting out the chips for a call.

de Korver: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}
Steinberg: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}

The Dutchman improved on the {6-Hearts} {10-Spades} {J-Clubs} flop, but Steinberg hit a magic turn card with the {Q-Spades}. The {2-Spades} river was a blank and now de Korver is on the short stack.

Laurain Busts to Gross

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

A very short-stacked Mathieu Laurain got his last 40,000 chips in preflop with {J-} {9-} and [Removed:373] looked him up with the {A-} {3-}. There was an ace on the flop and despite a gutshot for the Frenchman, Laurain couldn't get there anymore.

Merlin Out in 33rd Place

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Pierre Merlin
Pierre Merlin

In one of the very few hands on the table of Pierre Merlin that didn't see any action until it was the turn of the PMU qualifier, the Frenchman moved all in for his last nine big blinds with {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} in the cutoff. Only [Removed:373] in the small blind called with {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and the {3-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} flop was a disaster for Merlin.

Neither the {8-Spades} turn nor {6-Diamonds} river provided any kind of miracle and the online qualifier was sent to the rail.
