The third and final day of the 2015 partypoker World Poker Tour National London £200 No-Limit Hold'em Accumulator began with 24 players out of a 594-entry field returning to the Aspers Casino in Stratford.

After a full day of play, the UK's Christopher Gordon emerged victorious by defeating Spain's Jesus Gracia in heads-up play to claim the trophy, Monster headphones, title as WPT National champion, and the first-place payout of £22,500. It was the biggest tournament payday for Gordon to date, although he has been a regular on the British circuit with plenty of smaller cashes.

The action started fast and furious with 13 of the participants being sent to the rail in the first two 60-minute levels. Among them were Kevin Allen and 2014 WPT Nottingham champion Matas Cimbolas, who both lost big pots prior to their final hand. Allen then hit the rail in 19th place after three-bet shoving with the {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and ended up drawing dead on the turn against Darren Mapley's {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Cimbolas' run came to an end in 14th place after losing a flip with the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} against the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} of Lucio Pacifico.

Jeraint "JJ" Hazan scored a huge double up only to run out of chips within two hands, walking into the flopped straight of Pacifico and bowing out in 10th place to set the official final table. Michel Melkert and Rahim Tadj-Saadat were the first two to leave, and then Day 1a chip leader Pacifico followed in seventh place.

At this point, start-of-the-day chip leader Laurence Essa had dominated the table and knocked out Petrit Papushi in sixth place after turning a full house and cracking the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} of his opponent with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Kenny King would fall in fifth place after calling a shove from Gordon in a battle of the blinds.

Mapley started the final table as second big stack, but ultimately had to settle for fourth place, losing all but one big blind with the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} against Gordon's {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} before bowing out the next hand.

Down to the last three players, Essa was still the dominating chip leader, but he went from hero to zero in two big pots versus Gordon. First, his pocket queens were worthless against a turned set of deuces. Soon after, he would shove with the {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} but Gordon's {A-Spades}{9-Spades} held up to bust Essa in third place.

Gordon started the heads-up match with an almost 4-1 lead over Gracia, and the two would fight for just over an hour. The Spaniard doubled up once but was never able to close the gap at all. In the final hand, Gracia was at risk for his last 14 big blinds with the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Gordon's {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} completed a straight on the river.

Jesus Gracia Eliminated in 2nd Place (£15,750)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Jesus Gracia - 2nd place
Jesus Gracia - 2nd place

A few hands later, Christopher Gordon would take another stab at knocking out his opponent and Jesus Gracia called off for his last 14 big blinds.

Gordon: {K-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}
Gracia: {10-Hearts} {10-Spades}

The Spanish rail would spot the {10-Diamonds} right in the window and already started cheering, but the other two flop cards {J-Clubs} {K-Hearts} did provide some sweat. It wasn't the {7-Hearts} turn that changed things even though an additional gutshot was now also out there.

The {Q-Hearts} river completed the straight for Gordon and Gracia shook hands with his opponent before stepping away from the table. The Spaniard was a short stack for most of the final table and managed to ladder up all the way to second place, good for a payday of £15,750.

A recap of today's action will follow as soon as possible and hope everyone enjoyed the show!

Laurence Essa Eliminated in 3rd Place (£10,100)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Laurence Essa - 3rd place
Laurence Essa - 3rd place

Christopher Gordon continued to put his two opponents under pressure and eventually grabbed 325,000 from Jesus Gracia after the Spaniard had limped and called Gordon's raise. On a flop of {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} Gracia then check-folded to a continuation bet.

Soon after, Laurence Essa would move all in from the button for 1.5 million and Gordon made the call in the big blind.

Gordon: {A-Spades} {9-Spades}
Essa: {Q-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}

"Deuce, deuce, deuce," Essa begged towards the dealer and he then changed his mind after the {5-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} flop, now asking for a queen. The wish was denied as the {5-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river completed the board. Essa was eliminated in third place for £10,100 and we are now in heads up.

The Tides Are Changing

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Laurence Essa no longer in the lead
Laurence Essa no longer in the lead

Christopher Gordon has been playing hyperactive since play resumed and first gave up a three-bet pot against Jesus Gracia. He then four-bet shoved for 2.8 million after raising 160,000 and facing the three-bet of Laurence Essa to 450,000. Essa tank-folded.

One hand later, Gordon called a 200,000-raise of Essa to see the flop of {4-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {5-Spades}. A continuation bet of Essa for 250,000 was check-called by Gordon and the {2-Diamonds} turn would see the very fast check-raise all in of Gordon. Essa had fired a second barrel worth 500,000 and eventually called off.

"For #### sake," Essa said when spotting the {2-Hearts} {2-Clubs} of his opponent before slowly turning over his own {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The {A-Clubs} river ended the hand and suddenly pushed Essa towards the bottom of the counts.

Darren Mapley Eliminated in 4th Place (£7,480)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Darren Mapley - 4th place
Darren Mapley - 4th place

Exactly one orbit after the previous raise to 175,000, Darren Mapley did the exact same and again Christopher Gordon moved all in from one seat over. Laurence Essa and Jesus Gracia folded their cards and Mapley called for almost even in chips:

Mapley: {A-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}
Gordon: {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {6-Spades} and Gordon doubled up for 1,610,000 chips, leaving Mapley with 75,000 chips behind and in the big blind the very next hand. Gracia called from the small blind and Mapley had the nut low hand {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Gracia's {Q-Clubs} {7-Clubs} stayed ahead despite some sweat for a miracle on a board of {4-Clubs} {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and the field was reduced to the last three players.

Kenny King Eliminated in 5th Place (£5,620)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Kenny King - 5th place
Kenny King - 5th place

The action folded to Christopher Gordon in the small blind and he open-shoved into the big blind of short stack Kenny King. The latter called for his last seven big blinds and they tabled their cards:

Gordon: {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades}
King: {A-Hearts} {8-Clubs}

It was all good for king until the river of a {J-Spades} {2-Hearts} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} board, as the final community card gave Gordon the better hand and sent King to the rail in 5th place.

Petrit Papushi Eliminated in 6th Place (£4,490)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Petrit Papushi - 6th place
Petrit Papushi - 6th place

Laurence Essa has been terrorizing the table and just four-bet shoved into the three-bet of short stack Jesus Gracia. The Spaniard had invested 350,000 and folded pocket fours.

Shortly after, Essa raised to 125,000 again and Petrit Papushi three-bet small to 250,000. Again Essa moved all in and Papushi tanked for more than one minute before making the call and turning over {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. Essa was very surprised about that long consideration and flipped over {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Spades} {J-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {10-Spades}, giving Essa a full house and yet another boost to his already massive stack. Papushi is heading to the payout desk to collect £4,490.

Lucio Pacifico - 7th place
Lucio Pacifico - 7th place

The action folded around to Lucio Pacifico and he moved all in for 605,000 from the cutoff. Chip leader Laurence Essa asked for a count and then made the call whereas everyone else got out of the way.

Pacifico: {10-Hearts} {9-Spades}
Essa: {6-Spades} {6-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {8-Clubs} flop would improve the hand of the Italian, but Essa made a runner runner flush thanks to the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {2-Clubs} river. Pacifico headed to the payout desk to collect £3,740 for his seventh place finish.

Rahim Tadj-Saadat - 8th place
Rahim Tadj-Saadat - 8th place

Darren Mapley raised to 100,000 from under the gun and found two callers in Rahim Tadj-Saadat as well as Jesus Gracia in the big blind. On a flop of {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}, Gracia checked and Mapley continued for 300,000. Tadj-Saadat now moved all in for 750,000 and the Spaniard quickly folded. Almost as fast was the call of Mapley:

Tadj-Saadat: {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}
Mapley: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The {4-Clubs} turn gave Tadj-Saadat additional outs with the straight draw, but ultimately the {3-Hearts} river was a brick and sent him to the rail in 8th place.

Michel Melkert moved all in for 255,000 and chip leader Laurence Essa isolated from the button to scare off all other opponents.

Melkert: {A-Spades} {9-Clubs}
Essa: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

The {K-Clubs} appeared right in the window to shut down all hopes and the rest of the board ran out {7-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {4-Spades}.
