Jeraint Hazan Eliminated in 10th Place (£1,635)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jeraint "JJ" Hazan
Jeraint "JJ" Hazan

Within two hands, the stack of Jeraint "JJ" Hazan has melted. First he defended his big blind against a raise of Jesus Gracia for 60,000 and Petrit Papushi had also called in the small blind. On a flop of {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {6-Spades}, Hazan check-raised all in and Gracia called off for looked like 325,000 after having made a continuation bet.

Hazan: {3-Hearts} {7-Hearts}
Gracia: {Q-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}

Neither the {K-Clubs} turn nor the {8-Diamonds} river changed anything and the Spaniard doubled up, leaving "JJ" with less than a million.

The next hand Hazan and Lucio Pacifico saw a flop of {10-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} in a battle of the blinds and Hazan check-called a bet of 80,000. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, "JJ" check-raised all in and Pacifico tank-called after having fired a second barrel worth 160,000.

Hazan: {A-Clubs} {6-Spades}
Pacifico: {8-Diamonds} {9-Spades}

Only a king would save Hazan, but it wasn't meant to be with the {6-Hearts} river. Now a short break is in order and then the redraw for the final table takes place.

Paul Siliceo Eliminated in 11th Place (£1,635)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Paul Siliceo
Paul Siliceo

After the previous roller coaster hand, Paul Siliceo moved all in from early position and Rahim Tadj-Saadat did so as well from the small blind. "You got aces?" Tadj-Saadat asked while the dealer reminded him that Darren Mapley was still to act: "He is still in. No, he is out," the dealer said as Mapley folded his cards quickly.

Siliceo wasn't too happy when his opponent announced pocket queens as he could only flip over the {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}. Indeed, Tadj-Saadat's {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} would hold up after a board of {10-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Diamonds} even though Tadj-Saadat said "I got a bad feeling for that one" before the showdown took place.

When the next player gets eliminated, the nine-handed final table will be set.

Christopher Yong Eliminated in 12th Place (£1,635)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Christopher Yong
Christopher Yong

Shortly after the bustout of Jamal Gormati on table three, it was Christopher Yong who open-shoved for 170,000 out of the small blind. Lucio Pacifico tanked for a fair bit and then eventually made the call with {Q-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. Yong only had the {6-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} and was drawing dead after the turn of a {Q-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {J-Spades}.

Matas Cimbolas Eliminated in 14th Place (£1,335)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

Shortly after being left on the short stack, Matas Cimbolas moved all in and was called by Lucio Pacifico on the button. The Lithuanian had a coin flip with {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} against {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} but wouldn't be able to pull off a comeback on a board of {J-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}. It was yet another deep run for the WPT Nottingham champion though and he confirmed the splendid form as of lately.

Hazan Snags Big Double Through Cimbolas

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

After a raise to 75,000, Jeraint Hazan moved all in for 709,000 from the cutoff and Matas Cimbolas moved all in over the top to scare off the initial preflop aggressor. Hazan turned over the {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} and Cimbolas had two over cards with {A-Clubs} {K-Spades}. The {2-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} flop provided plenty of fireworks for both players and Hazan locked up the huge double with the {9-Spades} on the turn. The {2-Hearts} river didn't matter anymore, vaulting Hazan out of his chair.

"A million for JJ" he yelled, letting the whole poker room know.

Lucio Pacifico raised from early position and called the shove of Christopher Gordon for another 197,000 on top with {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs}. Gordon was ahead with his {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} but would fall to a runner runner straight on the {J-Clubs} {4-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} board.

Chan Ha Eliminated in 16th Place (£1,140)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Chan Ha
Chan Ha

Rahim Tadj-Saadat opend the action with a raise to 55,000 and Chan Ha moved all in for 475,000 from the button. It was no snap-call but Tajd-Saadat did make the call with the superior stack.

Ha: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Tadj-Saadat: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

The big stack would immediately improve on a flop of {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and held up with the {4-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river as last two community cards.

Andrew Bell Eliminated in 17th Place (£1,140)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Andrew Bell
Andrew Bell

The next short stack to fall would be Andrew Bell after committing his last chips with the {A-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Paul Siliceo looked him up with the dominating {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Jeraint Hazan was calling for a split pot after the {10-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} flop and that indeed happened with the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. If it wasn't for the evil river card though, as the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Clubs} to sent Bell to the rail.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marius Lietuvninkas
Marius Lietuvninkas

After a flop of {3-Spades} {9-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Marius Lietuvninkas was all in and at risk with {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} and covered by Paul Siliceo. Even worse news for the Lithuanian was the fact he only had four outs, as Siliceo held the {9-Spades} {9-Hearts}. Neither the {4-Spades} turn nor the {8-Clubs} river changed anything and Lietuvninkas was sent to the rail in 18th place.
