Lazenby Doubles and then Busts Opponent

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After a flop of {8-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}, Simon Lazenby was all in and at risk after calling the all in of an opponent with {A-Spades} {3-Hearts} for ace-high. It was a marginal and risky move, but his opponent only held {J-Spades} {10-Hearts} for the open ended straight draw. Lazenby held up with the {9-Hearts} turn and the {8-Diamonds} river as final two community cards to double up to 47,000.

One hand later the same opponent was all in short-stacked with {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} and this time Lazenby had the far more dominating hand in {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. The {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {2-Clubs} flop was a little shock, but the {2-Hearts} turn paired the board and brought Lazenby back into the lead. A blank {7-Diamonds} river sent the opponent to the rail and Lazenby apologized. "That was #### lucky," another player on the table remarked. "That's my middle name," joked Lazenby before stacking the chips.
