Somesh Makes the Right Call to Double Through Tumboli

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Blind on blind, Hidangmayum Somesh raised to 15,000 and Zarvan Tumboli raised to 30,000 in the big blind. Somesh called and checked the {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop. Tumboli bet 35,000 and Somesh called.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Somesh check-called 45,000.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Somesh checked a third time and Tumboli moved all in for 139,000, covering his opponent by 12,000.

Somesh tanked for a long time before sliding his chips forward to make the call, wincing as he did so.

Tumboli tapped the table and showed {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} as Somesh turned over {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and took down the pot.

Vedantham Doubles on the Bubble

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Eka Vedantham and Ajay Kumar were in the blinds and had gotten their remaining chips in on a {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop.

Eka Vedantham: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Ajay Kumar: {5-Spades}{7-Spades}

Kumar had flopped two pair against Vedantham's over pair. The turn was the {3-Hearts} but the river {3-Diamonds} meant Vedantham counterfeited his opponent's two pair to stay alive in the WPT India Main Event.

Jayjit Ray Bubbles WPT India Main Event

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

One player limped before Jayjit Ray raised all in for 29,000. It folded to Romit Advani in the big blind who called. The limper folded and after all hands at the other tables were completed, the cards were turned over.

Jayjit Ray: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Romit Advani: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} giving Advani a stranglehold on the hand. The turn {3-Clubs} clinched it for him and the {3-Diamonds} sealed the elimination of Ray as the 2018 WPT India Main Event bubble boy.

The remaining 88 players have all guaranteed themselves ₹89,500.
