Sanchez on Life Support

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In the final hand of the previous level, Alex Sanchez open-shoved 500,000 on the button and Abdullatif Attia folded his small blind. Yves Rolland looked at his cards in the big blind and instantly put his stack in.

Yves Rolland: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Alex Sanchez: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The dealer fanned out {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Sanchez was left with a mere 10,000. The blinds went up and he called those chips all in the next hand. It got checked down four-way on {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Sanchez showed {J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and much to everyone's surprise, his deuce was good enough to septuple up.

Chevalier in the Tank

Level 24 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Mathieu Chevalier raised to 60,000 from under the gun and Fabio Pinho Damaso called from the cutoff. The flop was {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Damaso called 50,000 from Chevalier. Both players checked the {5-Hearts} on the turn.

On the river, Chevalier checked, Damaso bet 210,000 and Chevalier went deep in the tank. He shifted in his seat for minutes and eventually got the clock called on him. After nearly five minutes, he opted to call it off.

Damaso showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for eights full and Chevalier mucked {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} in disgust

Yassine Adib Eliminated in 16th Place (50,000 MAD / €4,571)

Level 24 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Yassine Adib
Yassine Adib

The shortest of stacks belonged to Yassine Adib, who had just 80,000 when he was seated in the small blind. Kalidou Sow raised to 50,000 on the button and called the 30,000 extra after Abid had shoved. Abid was a favorite with {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} against Sow's {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} but dodged a massive sweat on a {4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board.

In the subsequent hand, Sow raised and called off Abid's second shove in a row, this time for 210,000.

Yassine Adib: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Kalidou Sow: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

This time it was Adib who picked up the extra outs along the way, but he didn't get there: {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}. He was the first player to bust on Day 3 and received 50,000 MAD.
