Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier, Francois Tosques and Bruno Fitoussi
Bertrand Grospellier, Francois Tosques and Bruno Fitoussi

Sadata Jilall raised to 3,000 from the hijack and Symeon Stergiopoulos called on the button.

Bertrand Grospellier three-bet to 11,500 from the small blind and defending champion Francois Tosques four-bet to 24,800 from the big blind.

Jilall called, with Stergiopoulos folding.

Grospellier thought a while longer before five-betting all in for 45,000. Tosques reshoved for 67,000 and Jilall folded.

Bertrand Grospellier: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Francois Tosques: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Grospellier would need to hold against the defending champion, and he did so on the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} and he doubled up.

New Players Aiming for Chip Lead

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Suago has sat with the chip lead for long periods of the day, but with just two levels remaining, other players have begun to emerge as contenders for end of day chip leader.

Ismail Fath-Eddine sits on a stack of over 200,000, and he is joined by Drisse Maouchi. Maouchi saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} out of the small blind. Bruno Fitoussi checked his big blind and the button bet 3,000. Maouchi snap raised to 8,000.

Fitoussi and the other player both folded and Maouchi showed {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} for flopped trips, moving up over 260,000 in chips.

Zizi Doubles Through Hegele

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Abdou Zizi was sweating an all in holding {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} against the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Robin Hegele.

Zizi was all in for around 25,000 and as the river of a {7-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} was dealt, he slid forward his chip stack confidently for a full double leaving a bemused-looking Hegele with less than starting stack.
