Who's Got the Biggest One

As the player's arrange their ever growing stacks of orange 5K chips (they did not color up on the dinner break) the various configuratoins of monster stacks are being used by players to intimidate. [Hey, is there a Poker Shrink in the house?]

At or approaching 3 million chips: JC Tran, Eric Hershler and Jacobo Fernandez.

Hershler Continues to Roll

Hershler's Reaction to Tran's Banter
Hershler's Reaction to Tran's Banter
JC Tran raises 190K and gets called by Eric Hershler. The flop is {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Both players check the flop. The turn is a {10-Diamonds}. Tran checks and Hershler bets out 300K. Tran calls. The river is a {2-Hearts}. Tran checks again. Hershler bets out 600K.

Tran: You want me to call?

(Tran thinks and slowly counts out 600K)

Tran: You're crazy and I must be crazier.

Tran calls.

Hershler shows down {9-Spades}{10-Spades} for top two pair and Tran mucks.

After Dinner Doldrums NOT!

The players are firing away on all cylinders. Eric Hershler just took down a 350K pot and each of the first five pots have been contested. We are not sitting on the stacks as we were most of the evening.

Fernandez and Procopio Meet Again

In a previous hand, Vinnie Procopio got the better of Jacobo Fernandez. Fernandez returns the favor.

Procopio raises 100k and Fernandez calls from the BB. Fernandez checks on a flop of {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Procopio bets 230K and Fernandez calls. The turn brings a {6-Diamonds} and another check from Fernandez. Procopio bets out 400K. Fernandez asks for a countdown of Procopio's remaining stack, reported at 900K. In the end, Fernandez just calls the 400K. The river is a {6-Spades}. Fernandez thinks - and checks.

Procopio whips over {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}.
Fernandez shows down {K-Spades}{9-Spades} for the nut flush.

The Procopio-Fernandez score is now 1-1.

Two Reasons to be Slow

Not only are players now seated at the ultimate final table in their ultimate final table seats; they also have huge stacks of 5K chips in front of them. During the dinner break (in 20 minutes) there will be a rolling color-up of some of the 5K chips but for now there are lots of chips on the table compared to the blinds.

Only Jay Chang is short stacked.
