Players Info - Day 3

Bubble=Burst

With the elimination of Jimmy Sachindis, we are officially in the money. Each player is guaranteed a payout of $22,780 for their three days of work.

54 players remain, all of whom are bagging and tagging their chips. We will pick up the action tomorrow at 3:30 PM PST.

Jimmy Sachindis Eliminated on the Bubble

Jimmy Sachindis busted out with the shortest stack in the tournament in 55th place. He was all in with {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} against Markus Stranzinger's {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. He had Stranzinger dominated, but suffered awicked bad beat. Jimmy Sachindis went out on the bubble when his opponent flopped a 5. His hand did not improve and the last Aussie left in the tournament headed to the rail.

Jeff Cabanillas Takes a 250K Pot

On a flop of {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades}, Lee Markholt bet 35K and Jeff Cabanillas called. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Markholt checked. Cabanillas bet 80K and after a long think, Markholt called. Cabanillas showed the {3-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a straight and Markholt mucked.

Cabanillas dragged a pot worth over 250K.

Bubble Time

The room is bursting with excitement and fruit flavor with 55 players left in the mix. No one left in the field wants to be the Bubble-boy (or Bubble-girl if you are Kristy Gazes). Jimmy Sachindis is the super short stack with 15K.

Isaac Haxton Doubles Through Michael Carson

Michael Carson raised pre-flop and Isaac Haxton moved all-in. Carson called and showed A-J to Haxton's 5-5. The flop was the {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} giving the lead to Carson, but Haxton spiked the {5-Clubs} on the turn to stay alive. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Haxton doubled up.

We are still at 56 players and the players are growing weary and irritable.

"This is torture" Kristy Gazes mouthed to me as I passed by her table.

Jimmy Sachindis Doubles Up; Gets F-Bomb Penalty

With a super thin stack, Jimmy Sachindis kept folding because other players at his table kept beating him into the pot. With less than 10K and in the small blind, he found {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. One player raised at the cutoff and Sachindis moved all in. He angrily slammed his two black aces on the table and let an F-bomb slip. His hand held up and ended up with 37K after he doubled up. Unfortunately, Sachindis was given a 10 minute penalty from the tournament directors for using the F-word.

With 56 players remaining, and two off the money, he has enough chips that he won't be blinded out before he gets to return to the action.
