Fantastic Setup for the Final Table

Final Table Setup
Final Table Setup
Each casino has their own setup for final tables. Some have a room that has a television-quality set. Others have a table with some bleachers placed in a corner of a tournament room Todays final table is setup in a theater.

The final table is up on stage with a typical setup of bleachers for spectators to watch. In addition, there is seating throughout the rest of the theater for both spectators and media. Big-screen televisions as well as widescreen plasma screens are setup along the stage so everyone has a closeup view of each hand.

This is definitely one of the nicer setups for a final table on the circuit trail.

Hand #7 - Jeff Tims

Timothy Miles has the button in Seat 4. Jeff Tims completes the small blind and Gabe Costner checks from the big blind. The flop is {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and both players check. The turn is the {5-Clubs}. Both check again. The river is the {8-Diamonds} and they check a third time.

Tims shows K-7 offsuit, Costner shows Q-2 offsuit, and Tims' king high is good enough to take down the pot.

Jatho Stayed True to His Word

Earlier in the day, we had the opportunity to talk with Ed Jatho, and one of the tournament staffers was trying to give Jatho advice on how to proceed in today's event. They told him that he could "probably sit back and make at least 6th place." Jatho looked at him and said, "Have you seen me play? Does it look like I am going to sit back and wait? No way!"

Jatho kept true to his word and played hard. Unfortunately he ended up finishing in 8th place.

Jatho did comment earlier that he would be happy regardless of where he finished. He is a stockbroker by trade, and any finish today would be a "great turn on investment."
