Miles Likes Purvis

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} Timothy Miles bet 16,000. Blake Purvis raised 51,000 and then Miles came over the top all in for 220,000 more. After a couple of minutes, Purvis folded.

Miles looked over at Purvis and said, "You play in a pot with me, you're in danger. I know when you have it and when you don't. Ya, you're a nice guy. I don't want to bust ya."

Tims Pushes His Weight Around

On a flop of {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, Lou Esposito bets out 17,000 into a sizable pot from the preflop action. Jeff Tims raises the action to 37,000, something he has been doing quite often as of late. Esposito calls.

The turn is the {K-Spades} and Esposito checks to Tims. Tims doesn't slow down and moves all in for 155,000.

Esposito goes into the tank for a few minutes and then folds.

Tims normally doesn't show his hands, but decides to show his set of deuces to the table. Esposito disgustedly says, "I mean, you're hitting everything for two weeks!"

Tims continues to steamroll his opponents with big bets and strong, aggressive play.

Devin Jarreau Eliminated in 19th Place ($7,180)

19th Place Finisher Devin Jarreau
19th Place Finisher Devin Jarreau
Devin Jarreau has just been eliminated from the tournament by Mike Browne, narrowing the field to 18 players spread across two tables of nine.

The hand saw Jarreau limp into the pot from the cutoff and Browne opted for a raise, making it a total of 10,000 to go. Both blinds folded and when the action returned to Devin, he made the call.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Jarreau passed the first action to Browne who led out with a 10,000 bet; Devin made the call.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} which turned out to be the action card as Jarreau checked again, only to watch Browne move all in. Devin made the call and tabled {K-Clubs}{5-Spades} for the nut flush draw and a pair, while Browne revealed pocket aces for top set.

Needing a club to stay alive, Devin conceded the hand when the {K-Hearts} popped off the on the river, giving Browne a full house.

The next three players eliminated from the tournament will each receive $9,573 in prize money.

Vanderford Strikes a Blow

In the early moments of Level 12, Gabe Costner raises first in on the button to 10,000. Floyd Vanderford and Jeff Tims both call from the blinds.

The {6-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} flop brings the action. The blinds check to the raiser, who puts in a continuation bet of 18,000. Vanderford pauses for several moments before deciding to check-raise all in for a total of 78,000. Costner calls, and they turn over their hands.

Vanderford: {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Costner: {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The turn and river come {5-Spades} and {4-Hearts}, and Vanderford's kicker plays, winning him the pot, and more than doubling him up. After the hand, Vanderford climbs to 200,000, while Costner is crippled with under 60,000 remaining.

A Wink and a Nod

Chuck Kelley and Fatolla Shahen just tangled in a hand. Preflop, Kelley made a raise to 11,000 on the button and the bet was quickly called by Shahen. The flop was {5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Shahen checked and Kelley made a continuation bet of 15,000. Shahen thought about it for a bit and made a semi-reluctant call. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and both players checked. On the river of the {2-Diamonds}, Shahen made a bet of 25,000. Kelley, looking disgusted, mucked immediately.

After the hand, one of Shahen's buddies walked over and Shahen gave him a quick wink and a nod as if to say, "I had it."
