Shaun ****in' Deeb! (Part 2)

It's good to be Shaun Deeb, apparently. He's the far and away chip leader after felting another opponent in particularly brutal fashion and giving him the bad beat story of a lifetime. Deeb opened the pot for 3,200, then reraised to 40,000 after an opponent in middle position made it 9,100 to go. That opponent called all in for about 30,000 with {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, a hand that had Deeb's {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} absolutely crushed. The case king hit a flop of {K-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}, but Deeb made the miracle runner-runner straight with a {9-Diamonds} turn and {J-Hearts} river. He's up to 168,000.

Last Woman Standing

Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor
With the recent elimination of Anna Zabib, we are down to just one lady remaining. Esther "E-Tay" Taylor is a force to be reckoned with at the poker table, and she is proving her mettle here today. She is just starting to get a bit low, but her 37,000 chips are plenty to work with for now.

Rizen Falls

Eric "Rizen" Lynch - Eliminated
Eric "Rizen" Lynch - Eliminated
The eliminations are coming a bit quicker now, with the blinds putting pressure on stacks that seemed safe just a short time ago. Eric "Rizen" Lynch is the latest casualty. He moved in with {10-Spades} {9-Spades} and was called by Kyle Schroeder out of the big blind with {K-Hearts} {J-Spades}. The board was all blanks, {5-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {7-Spades} {7-Clubs}, giving Schroeder the pot with king-high. Lynch made a quiet but quick exit out of the tournament area.

Stemper Joins the Railbirds

Patrick Stemper - Eliminated
Patrick Stemper - Eliminated
Patrick Stemper is the latest casualty from this World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event. He moved all in with {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and was called by a player with pocket nines. Stemper couldn't connect with a board of {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}. He's out of chips and out of the tournament.

Corwin Loses All his Chips

Corwin Cole - Eliminated
Corwin Cole - Eliminated
We just picked up the details of a hand that occurred just before the break involving our "class clown" from earlier on at Table 17, Corwin Cole.

Before the flop, Cole opened from the cutoff seat with a raise to 2,100. The small blind reraised it up to 7,800, and Cole quickly moved all in for about 30,000. His opponent insta-called, having Cole covered.

Showdown:
Cole: {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades} {K-Spades}

The board ran out sour for the all-in player, coming {7-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades}. Once a big stack, Corwin Cole now finds himself on the outside looking in.

Tryba, Tryba Again

We join the pot on the flop in a bit confrontation between Mike Heintschel and Chris Tryba. The board read {9-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts}. After a flurry of action, Heintschel ended up all in for just over 30,000. Tryba looked him up, putting Heintschel at risk for his tournament life.

Showdown:
Heintschel: {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts}
Tryba: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

"I have nothing," lamented Tryba. Someone at the other end of the table quipped, "Hey, you have the second-nut nothing." The turn was the {8-Spades} and a blank {6-Diamonds} hit the river as well. Tryba sends a big chunk of chips across the felt, having dropped down to 22,000.
