Jonathan Poche Eliminated in 5th Place ($75,000)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Poche - 6th Place
Jonathan Poche - 6th Place

On the flop of {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Jonathan Poche was all in and called by Sam Barnhart. Poche held the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, but was dominated by the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for Barnhart.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} to pair the board, but Barnhart's queen was still the better kicker. The river completed the board with the {J-Hearts} and Poche was eliminated from the tournament. He finished in fifth place for $75,000 while the remaining four players went off on dinner break.

Poche Rivers Straight

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

La Sengphet made it 26,000 to go and found a caller in Jonathan Poche from the big blind.

The {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board was checked to the river where Poche pushed out a bet of 32,000. Sengphet made the call but mucked after seeing Poche table his {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a rivered straight.

Fives Enough for Evans

Sam Barnhart entered the pot from the cutoff with a raise only to have Josh Evans move all in for 218,000 from the big blind. Barnhart made the call and we were off to the races!

Evans: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Barnhart: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop kept Evans in the lead, but when the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn, he would need to fade an additional three outs to counter-feit.

Fortunately for Evans, the river landed the {5-Diamonds} to ensure him the double to 455,000 as Barnhart lost about a third of his stack.

Sengphet Gets One Back

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jonathan Poche raised from the button to 29,000 and La Sengphet called from the big blind to see a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}. Sengphet checked and Poche bet 38,000. Sengphet made the call.

The {4-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and both players checked to see the {K-Hearts} fall on the river. The river completed the board with the {K-Hearts} and Sengphet bet 83,000. Poche gave it up and Sengphet won the pot.

That orange juice and kiss from her boyfriend must have helped.

Sengphet Pressured

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

After La Sengphet raised to 26,000 from the button, James Anderson shoved all in from the big blind. Sengphet folded and Anderson won the pot.

"It's OK, La La!" yelled out one of Sengphet's railbirds in encouragement. She's slipped back to the middle of the pack and looks to have the wind taken from her sails for the time being. An orange juice and a kiss from her boyfriend on the rail will look to turn that around.
