Barnhart Survives on River

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

On the final hand of the level we found Sam Barnhart opening with a button raise which Josh Evans called in an effort to defend his big blind.

On a flop of {6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} Evans check-called a Barnhart bet before the {7-Spades} on the turn saw Barnhart hold all his chips in the middle.

Barnhart: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Evans: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

With Barnhart needing one of eight cards to stay alive in the tournament, the {J-Hearts} would spike on the river to ensure him the double to roughly 800,000 as Evans slipped down to half a million.
