Bo Pathammavong Eliminated in 15th Place ($9,399)

Level 25 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Bo Pathammavong - 15th Place
Bo Pathammavong - 15th Place

Oh no Bo! Bot Pathammavong was down to 180,000 and under the gun when he was dealt {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. He open-shoved all in. The former big stack Chris Johnson, recently knocked back to about 600,000 by John Kulish, woke up with pocket kings. The board was a swing and a miss for Pathammavong, {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. His elimination in 15th place paved the way for Dave Stann to be broken from Table 41 over to Table 31.

Action Table!

Level 25 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Most of the chips seem to be concentrated on Table 31, much to the dismay of the players on Table 41. Over on Table 31, Chris Johnson opened pre-flop from under the gun to 50,000. John Kulish had next action and was the only caller. Johnson continued for 100,000 on a jack-high flop, {j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Kulish called to the turn {a-Hearts}. That card slowed Johnson down; he checked and then called a bet of 200,000 from Kulish.

The river was the {7-Spades}. Johnson checked again, then called a hefty 300,000-chip bet from Kulish. Kulish turned over the nuts, {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Johnson grimaced as he flashed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, a set of tens, and mucked his hand. Losing 650,000 chips on that hand cuts his stack in half, to about 600,000. Kulish, meanwhile, is th new chip leader with 1.75 million!

Leecy Can't Call Liu

Level 25 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
JJ Liu
JJ Liu

Matthew Leecy raised from middle position to 40,000, the minimum amount. Action folded to JJ Liu in the big blind and she thought for a minute before she began looking around the room. She asked how many people were left and the table went back and forth between 15 or 16 for a few moments, before it was confirmed that 15 people were left. Then, Liu made the call.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Liu checked. Leecy bet 20,000 and Liu made the call to see the {5-Spades} pair the board on the turn. Liu checked and Leecy bet 45,000 with 280,000 behind. Liu check-raised all in for 121,000 total. Leecy thought for a bit, but just couldn't call the extra 76,000 and folded his hand.

Harold Wasson Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,785)

Level 25 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The players were barely back in their seats from the break when short-stacked Harold Wasson's chips went into the middle of the table and didn't come back to him. He'll earn $7,785 for a spirited 16th-place showing.

The remaining 15 players are playing either two more full levels or until only 9 remain, whichever comes first.

England and Johnson Clash

Level 24 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Brian England opened with a raise from early position and then Chris Johnson three-bet from the small blind. England made the call and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Both players checked to see the {6-Diamonds} pair the board on the turn. Johnson checked and England bet 58,000. Johnson made the call.

The river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds} and Johnson checked again. England fired 110,000 and Johnson made the call. England tabled the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for nines and sixes to win the pot. He's up to 1.4 million while Johnson dropped to 1.1 million.

Lance Oliver Eliminated in 18th Place ($7,785)

Level 24 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Lance Oliver will remember how unlucky he got in today's Main Event for a while. He flopped top pair, top kicker on a {10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop against John Kulish. The two players made it to the {4-Clubs} turn, where all the chips got into the middle. Oliver showed his {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and was drawing dead against Kulish's turned set, {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. The river {6-Clubs} boosted Kulish to 1.1 million in chips and sent Oliver to the rail.
