Dao Gets Rings, but Drops a Pot

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Miller Dao fired 5,150 on the board of {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and his opponent made the call to see the {A-Hearts} fall on the river. Dao couldn't fired this time and checked. His opponent checked behind. Dao mucked after his opponent tabled the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for queens and nines, dropping back to 33,500.

Dao took ninth place in the WSOP Circuit Regional Championship in Rincon for $24,235. That final table earned him a spot in the National Championship at the end of the season, but Dao wasn't about to sit back. He just took down the $1,090 No-Limit Hold'em ring event here at Caesars yesterday for a cool $55,202.
