Binger Scalps Two

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Nick Binger
Nick Binger

Four people liked their cards in a hand at Nick Binger's table, but by the river Binger liked his cards best of all. A middle-position player opened pre-flop to 2,000. Binger was in the cutoff position and bumped the action to 5,500. The next two players to act both moved all in. The button shoved for 25,000; the small blind was in for about 20,000. Those moves folded the action back to Binger.

He tanked for several minutes, first appearing to do math in his head and then studying his opponents. After getting the dealer to pull the original 5,500 from all of the remaining live players, Binger called for a three-way showdown.

Binger: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Button: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Small blind: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Queens were still solid after a seven-high flop of {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}, but Binger hit both the turn {k-Spades} and the river {a-Hearts} to make aces and kings and knock both of his opponents out. He's now up to about 94,000 in chips.
