"How good does he run?" asked Adam Hui about Alex Santiago after the hand.
"How good does he run?" asked Adam Hui about Alex Santiago after the hand.

Alex Santiago has shown no hesitation about open-shoving from the button against players in the blinds in the late stages of Day 2. He did it again just a few moments ago. Matthew Leecy, in the big blind, asked Santiago how much he was playing.

"About 300," Santiago replied. Leecy deliberated for another minute and then called the shove with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Santiago showed {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Neither player connected with a flop of {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}, although Santiago did flop an inside straight draw.

"I'll take a 9 please dealer," said Santiago. The {9-Hearts} instantly appeared on the turn.

"Whatever he wants," said Leecy. He was drawing dead and was forced to pay off a double-up of 256,000 chips. That knocked Leecy down to about 200,000 and pushed Santiago up to 525,000.
