Prescott Claims a Bounty

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Allie Prescott
Allie Prescott

We joined the pot on the flop as the dealer spread out {5-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}. Arturo Alaniz was first to speak, and he led out with 22,000 chips. His lone opponent, Allie Prescott, made the smooth call, and the {K-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Alaniz checked now, and Prescott took his cue to fire 33,000 at the pot. His opponent promptly check-raised all in for about 130,000 total, and Prescott made the call with his covering stack.

Showdown
Alaniz: {9-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}
Prescott: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades}

Prescott had flopped top set, but Alaniz had outs -- ten of them, in fact. The river was the blank {7-Spades}, though, and Alaniz has fallen in 42nd place.

With that knockout, Prescott moves back into contention for the chip lead with about 415,000 chips now.
