A Cooler Ends Shorr's Day

When the table was redrawn, the button was left in Seat 10. Allen Kessler pointed out the error, and the movement of the button sparked action on the very first ten-handed hand.

In early position, Shannon Shorr opened to 10,000, and Allie Prescott three-bet to 27,500 a few seats over. When it came back to Shorr, he shoved in for more than 160,000, and Prescott made the call for nearly his full stack to put his opponent at risk. It had to be two big hands:

Showdown
Prescott: {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}
Shorr: {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

Shorr barely reacted, but he had to be cursing his luck inside. The board ran out blanks, too, coming {6-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} to force his exit in 10th place. It's not going to earn him any money or a seat at tomorrow's final table. The good news for Shorr is that he's already locked up one of the National Championship seats with his final table at the Regional Championship outside of Chicago late in 2010.
