All That's Left Are Nine
The penultimate day of the 2010-11 WSOP-C traveling season is over before dinner time.
The final 18 players in the $10,000 Southern Regional Championship were back inside Harrah's New Orleans today for the run to the final table. With just a few levels in the books, that goal has been reached with AJ Jejelowo taking the big stack into tomorrow's final table.
Here's how the table will stack up:
Seat | Player | Chips |
---|---|---|
1 | Allie Prescott | 353,000 |
2 | Harry Cullen | 164,500 |
3 | Allen Kessler | 85,000 |
4 | Jeremy Gaubert | 121,500 |
5 | Gary Friedlander | 469,000 |
6 | Kunal Patel | 160,000 |
7 | Matt Waxman | 171,000 |
8 | AJ Jejelowo | 489,000 |
9 | Scott Lipshutz | 237,500 |
It was a fine day for both Friedlander and Jejelowo as they battled back and forth for the chip lead all day. It was Jejelowo who pipped to the front as the clock wound down, his stack of 489,000 representing the number to chase. It's far from a runaway, though, and the familiar faces of Allie Prescott, Matt Waman, Jeremy Gaubert, and Allen Kessler will all be gunning for the gold ring tomorrow.
The final table runs at noon local time, and we'll be back here to bring you the end of the story. Until then, all that's left is goodnight!
