Patient Play

The heads up action has been up and down all day long. The chips will start moving for awhile and then suddenly stop. Right now the players are basically folding back and forth and the chips are fluctuating very little.

Almost Even

Farid Nasserazad raised to 130,000 on the button and Travis Lutes called from the big blind. Both players checked the {6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{K-Spades} flop and {10-Spades} turn. When the {8-Diamonds} appeared on the river, Lutes bet 170,000 and Nasserazad called. Lutes showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} which was good enough to win the hand as Nasserazad mucked.

The chips counts are a bit more even with Nasserazad slightly ahead 2.86 million to Lutes's 2.75 million.

Lutes Gains on Nasserazad

Travis Lutes limped on the button and Farid Nasserazad checked his option in the big blind. When the flop came down {8-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, Nasserazad bet 150,000 and Lutes made the call.

Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} turn and then Nasserazad checked the {10-Clubs} river to Lutes, who bet 335,000. Nasserazad, who held {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, called in the hopes of playing the board and chopping the pot, but Lutes turned up {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a flush.

With that, Lutes is up to 2.45 million and Nasserazad dropped to 3.16 million.

Back and Forth

Travis Lute raised to 120,000 on the button and Farzid Nasserazad reraised to 250,000 from the big blind. Lutes called and the flop came down {2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Nasserazad wasted little time in betting 250,000 and Lutes tossed his cards in the muck.

Nasserazad is up to just over 4 million while Lutes dropped to 1.6 million.

Nasserazad Gaining

Travis Lutes raised to 100,000 on the button and Farid Nasserazad called from the big blind.

Nasserazad checked dark before the flop ran out {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Lutes bet 150,000. Nasserazad called, leading to the {5-Clubs} turn card. Both checked and did so once again after the {6-Spades} river hit.

Nasserazad tabled {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, good enough to win the pot.

Nasserazad: Up to about 4,310,000
Lutes: Down to roughly 1,300,000
