Gagliano Out

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Mike "Gags30" Gagliano never got it going today and was down to just 6,500 when he three-bet shoved with {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Unfortunately his opponent snapped it off with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and the board did not improve his hand.

Matros Managing

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Matt Matros opened with a raise from the cutoff and got one caller from the small blind. The flop came {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, and after Matros's opponent called his continuation bet the pot sat at about 3,000.

Both players then checked the {4-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river. Matros showed {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and tapped the felt in acknowledgment when his opponent showed {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for tens.

Matros counted his remaining stack afterwards, finding himself down to about 17,500.

Buchman's Buzzer Beater

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Registration for this event closed moments ago, but Eric Buchman snuck in just in time to play. Buchman is of course a member of the 2009 November Nine and last year at the 2010 WSOP he won his first bracelet in a $2,000 limit hold'em event.

Jacks Mean Early Bounce for Buchman

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

His seat barely warm, Eric Buchman was just involved in a preflop all-in battle versus a short stack.

After Buchman opened with a raise of 800 from the button, the small blind called, then the big blind pushed all in for what appeared to be about 7,500. Buchman instantly announced he was reraising all in as well, sending the SB into the tank for some time before he let his hand go.

Buchman showed {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} and his opponent tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The flop came {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}. "Perfect," said Buchman's opponent sarcastically. The turn was the {7-Hearts} -- not perfect, but not bad either, for Buchman's foe. But the river was the {2-Diamonds}, sending Buchman's opponent railward.

Buchman quickly chips up to 29,000 after that one.

Bock Bests Opponent

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

With around 7,000 in the middle and the board reading {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Gregory Bock fired 3,000. His opponent went spiraling deep into the tank.

"You have a six beat?" he asked Bock.

"You really have a six?" Bock responded.

"Yeah," his opponent admitted. "Five-six."

Bock fell silent and after another minute his opponent finally called. Bock quickly tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a rivered pair of sevens and his opponent angrily mucked.

"Everybody f***ing rivers me," he blurted.

Bock said nothing, rather he quietly raked in his new chips.

A Hug for Orphaned Pot

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

After the player sitting under the gun limped, Michael "The Hugginator" Hug raised to 800 from early position, and ultimately got four callers including the original limper. The flop came all babies -- {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} -- and it checked to Hug who continued for 1,600, prompting folds all around.

Hug now sits with about 34,000 as we near the end of Level 6 and the next break.
