Roland Israelavshili Eliminated in 5th Place ($35,213)

Roland Israelashvili, 5th place
Roland Israelashvili, 5th place

Roland Israelavshili open-shoved his last 200,000 or so from the cutoff and Patrick Houchins snapped it off from the big blind.

Showdown
Israelavshili: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Houchins: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

"Fifty-fifty," Israelavshili said with a smile.

Israelavshili flopped a pair when the dealer fanned {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, but he was still well behind. Neither the {3-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {4-Spades} on the river improved his hand, and he was eliminated in 5th place for $35,213.

"First last year and fifth this year," he said to WSOP Media Director Nolan Dalla. "Not too bad."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Roland.
