Hellmuth Tortured by Bowker

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Kyle Bowker raied to 1,300 from middle position and a player in late position called. The small blind also called and then Phil Hellmuth reraised to 7,300 from the big blind. Bowker called and the player in late position called while the small blind folded.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} and everyone checked. The turn added the {4-Clubs} to the board and Hellmuth bet 10,000. Only Bowker made the call.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds}. There was now a pair of fours on board and Hellmuth checked. Bowker moved all in, having Hellmuth and his remaining 22,000 covered. Hellmuth tanked for a bit while going through the usual Hellmuth antics. Eventually, Hellmuth laid down his hand, showing the {A-Spades}{5-Spades} and claiming that he almost called with the ace high.

Hellmuth dropped to 22,000 and Bowker moved to 75,000 in chips.
