Short Stacks Battle

Action folded to Thang Nguyen on the button and he moved all in for his last 142,000. Sameer Al Dbhany was next to act and reraised all in over the top. Jacob Bazely folded his big blind and it was Dbhany putting Nguyen at risk of being our 9th place finisher.

Nguyen: {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Al Dbhany: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} which gave Nguyen some additional outs. The turn {2-Clubs} was a blank but the {6-Clubs} river shipped the pot to Nguyen.

With that hand, Dbhany and Nguyen switch places as the shortest stack and second shortest stack.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and this time Bazely bet 100,000 before being met with an immediate all in. About 250,000 more to call, Bazely thought for a bit before finally flipping over the {a-Clubs} and mucking the other card.

Smith Takes Pot No One Wants

Sameer Al Dbhany limped from middle position, Robert Castoire limped on the button, Mark Smith limped from small blind and Khang Luu checked his option from the big blind.

The flop came {3-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} and all players checked. The turn came {7-Clubs} and action checked around again. The river came {10-Hearts} and Smith put out 60,000. Action folded around and Smith picked up a pot that none of the other players wanted apparently.

Tense Moment

First to act, David Hengen raised to 45,000 before Bernard Lee three-bet to 127,000 in the cutoff. Then Sameer Al Dbhany went deep into the tank sitting with the small blind in front of him. Eventually, he threw in his cards, took off his headphones and got up from the table. Hengen folded as well and Lee scooped the pot.
